FORMER GENERAL ADMINISTRATION

On 8th December 2015, the twelfth General Synaxis of CSM held at KripaBhavanGeneralate, Mannampetta, Thrissur, elected Rev. Mother Seby Rose CSM as the Superior General of the congregation. Mother Seby Rose is an eminent person blessed with in-depth spirituality, knowledge and experience, and also graced with simple, serene and compassionate qualities. Significantly enough, under her leadership and direction the congregation expanded and flourished its mission in the overseas. As the supreme authority of the congregation, the Superior General serves CSM by animating, guiding, coordinating, inspiring and encouraging the entire sisters of the congregation to be faithful to their vocation and mission.
The consecrated life and the formation department come directly under the responsibility of the Superior General. Rev. Mother General visits on a regular basis the formation houses and meets personally formators and candidates. The Mother General handles wisely and diligently the different phases of formation by assuring the core of the vision, mission and charism of the congregation. The Mother General also organizes the curriculum, arranges spiritual classes and other required formation methodologies. And she provides a congenial atmosphere for the integral growth and allover development of the candidates.
The Superior General also has the responsibility to take care of the discipline of the entire congregation, community life and prayer life of the sisters. Those sisters who are working abroad and their houses come under the direct administration of the Superior General. Concurrent on-going formation and refresh courses, common renewal programms, retreats etc are organized by the Superior General.

Rev. Sr. Merin Anto CSM is the present Assistant General of the Congregation. The Assistant General acts on behalf of the Superior General in matters pertaining to the ordinary governance of the Congregation whenever the Superior General is absent or unable to attend to her office. She being the first general councilor coordinates the ministries and activities of the provinces, both individual initiatives and collective efforts. In addition to that, in the general level she facilitates the formulation of policies, creates a climate of togetherness and unified action, and engages in all sorts of developmental works, in particular the empowerment of the people of God, in collaboration with all social centres and units. And she animates and coordinates the core teams for social action. Rev. Sr. MerinAnto CSM is in charge of the family apostolate, social centres, parish ministries etc.

Rev. Sr. Damian CSM, the second General Councillor is taking care of the following departments, namely, the homes for the handicapped, aged and children, the training centers for the mentally challenged, hospitals, dispensaries. Rev. Sr. Damian CSM is the General Councillor responsible for the ‘Acts of Mercy’ and also in charge of the health department. She supervises the sisters who work in the health ministry in the congregational level and organizes seminar classes and courses for the sisters who are engaged in the medical field

Rev. Sr. Regis Mathew CSM is the General Councillorwho is entrusted with the responsibility of the educational department of the Congregation. The department includes all educational related activities, namely, nursery schools, educational institutions, hostels and catechism. She coordinates the core teams for education in the provinces, visits the schools, animates teachers and ensures the maintenance of school records. She harmonizes school activities, designs programs for non-formal education. She persuades the headmistresses to organize in-service training programs for the teachers of our schools.

Rev. Sr. Lissa John CSMis the General Councillorof the department of finance. Being the General Finance Officer of the congregation she presents the annual budgets of the congregation and of the provinces before the General Council meeting and implements its decisions. Besides, with the help of the finance committee, she studies and evaluates matters concerning the temporal administration, formulates and submits projects and estimates before the General Council for getting approval. She is the responsible person to ensure sound management and administration of the temporal goods of the provinces. She keeps and maintains the records of the movable and immovable properties owned by the congregation along with those important documents relating to the financial transactions of each individual houses.

Rev. Sr. Anu Jose CSM, the Secretary General, is appointed by the Superior General in consultation with the General Councillors. The Secretary General carries out all correspondences of the congregation at its general level. She is the authorized person to intimate and inform promptly the decisions and instructions of the General Team to the entire members of the congregation. She is also responsible for the custody and the maintenance of the archives, documents, statistics and chronicles of the congregation as well as that of the generalate community.

Rev. Sr. Joseline CSM, the Financial Administrator, appointed by the Superior General, is vested with the duty to prepare the accounts at the congregational level. In collaborating with the General Financial Officer, she keeps the general accounts punctually which are regularly presented before the General Council meetings for getting approval.
